Brown's Beach Expansion
Larry and Geraldine Abrams went before the Stillwater town board to announce their proposal to develop a luxury resort with 200 to 250 hotel rooms, banquet seating for 500, a rooftop restaurant, a marina with 165 boat slips and a two-level parking garage at Brown's Beach. Larry promised to keep the beach open to the public.
The Saratogian web page stated that "David Connors, the town's director of building, planning and development, said they need Planned Development District legislation from the Town Board, a process that could take six to nine months. The PDD will also need the approval of the Saratoga County Planning Board." The paper also stated that Abrams promised to listen to neighbors' concerns through the approval process. He said the development will be environmentally friendly.
