Re: Saratoga Springs Water Source Development

I am a homeowner (property owner) on Saratoga Lake in the City of Saratoga Springs (Town of Stillwater, Town of Malta, Town of Saratoga) and I oppose the development of Saratoga Lake as a Drinking Water Source for the City of Saratoga Springs.

Development of Saratoga Lake as a water source could have harmful effects that have not been fully explored in the City’s Environmental Impact Statement.  Moreover, I feel that there is a, safer, more affordable regional alternative that is being developed by the County.

I am asking that the Department of Environmental hold a public legislative hearing so that members of our community can present the reasons why we think the permit should not be granted.
